I/O Partners Adds Engineering Staff to Cover Existing and New Product Offerings

October 1, 2003 - I/O Partners out of Irving, Texas has announced the additions of new personnel to cover existing regions for both their post-production/broadcast and their SAN (Storage Area Networks) and NAS (Network Area Storage) product offerings. Eric Shone, formerly with Silicon Graphics, has been appointed I/O's Southwest Sale Engineer and Rick Gannis, also formerly with SGI, has been named as the Northeast Sales Engineer.

Mr. Shone, a Texas native, has five-years experience as an intern systems engineer supporting both commercial and federal systems engineers for SGI. He will focus on I/O Partners' post-production and broadcast verticals for North Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas. In addition to experience as a systems engineer, Mr. Shone has background as an animation artist for a top-level post-production facility in Dallas, Texas.

Rick Gannis has seven years experience with Silicon Graphics as a systems engineer and will cover the eastern U.S. for I/O focusing on SGI storage solutions sales. I/O's expansion into SAN (Storage Area Networks) and NAS (Network Area Storage) as well as high-speed networking prompted the decision to hire a full-time sales representative for a full-market push.

Bill Porter, I/O's VP of Sales stated, " We are very pleased to acquire two dedicated and knowledgeable engineers in one fell swoop. Our initiatives into the computer storage industry will be greatly enhanced by these employees with advanced understanding of the intricacies of the integration process. Also, enhancing our presence in the post-production and broadcast markets will not only offer greater advantages to I/O Partners, but will directly benefit our clients through increased support and service."
