I/O Partners Expands into Storage

October 10, 2003 - I/O Partners out of Irving, Texas announced today the formation of I/O Partners Storage Division dedicated exclusively to storage solutions. This expansion of their product offering is designed to bring essential new storage and networking solutions and services to I/O's expanding client base. The development signals the growth of the company into a broader market than what has been its traditional post-production and broadcast focus.

"As a high performance systems integrator for the past five years, I/O Partners' engineering team has evolved to the point of having the hardware and software expertise necessary to support this expansion of our products and services offerings," stated William Porter Vice President of Sales. "We have created the new Storage Division to keep up with the demand from our clients for the integration of SAN, NAS and High-Speed Network service technologies into their facilities workflow."

"Understanding our customers problems and recommending proven solutions has always been a part of I/O's business model," added I/O's CEO, Lee Harrison," however, we believe that the timing is right to expand this model and provide a full line of quality storage and networking products for our clients."

Storage solutions include the latest NAS offering from Ciprico, the DiMeda 1700, which provides a robust, scalable solution for ingest of non-linear editing, archiving, and broadcast-to-air applications and additionally allows multiple users to conduct real-time file sharing at near-wire speeds between Window, Mac and Unix clients. The DiMeda 1700 combines the latest serial ATA drive technology with Ciprico's embedded software layer, delivering real time performance and fault tolerances while offering customers a compact low-entry point solution ideal for the most demanding applications. It also offers unprecedented quality of service in the form of premium software services, such as storage quota and bandwidth management features.
