Jim Eberle recently celebrated the opening of a new editorial
suite in conjunction with the Dallas post-production facility,
Frames Per Second. Eberle's extensive editorial work spans

recently at Charlie Uniform Tango in Dallas. The creative
union of Eberle and Frames is expected to bring strong commercial
editing and effects power to the to the expanding facility
and will offer clients greater flexibility in the editorial
The suite is equipped with a Discreet smoke MXE, purchased from
I/O Partners. Frames is the first post house in Dallas to
receive version 6 of the smoke software. This latest
version boasts resolution independence from a single timeline,
a new Master Keyer™, Colour Warper™ and many other features
that increase the flexibility of the editorial process.
Eberle stated, "I'm extremely excited about what the future has
in store because this is quite frankly, a dream realized.
The collaborative effort between the creative team at Frames
and the launch of the smoke suite has been an awesome experience.
The capability and talents of the offline and graphics artists
here are amazing. Working with off-line editor Brent Harrington,
recently of N2O, Todd Doane, a brilliant graphics artist and
J. Hutton, an incredible creative off-line editor, is a thrill
each day. I also want to give kudos to I/O Partners for impressively
expediting the process of acquiring the smoke. They cut the
time this normally takes is half, and I'm very grateful."
Ken Skaggs, owner of Frames, added, " We're extremely pleased to be able
to offer the versatility of a Discreet system and the artist
to complete it. This makes us a better-rounded post facility
that can handle almost any editing challenge put to us. Jim,
and the new smoke will fit perfectly with our future endeavors
and the needs of our clients."
Eberle recently returned from supervising a shoot for Ford with J.Walter
Thompson and Grace & Wild Studios out of Detroit, Michigan.
After completing on-line of the multi-regional Ford spots,
he will be on-lining a Pepsi spot for Dieste & Partners.
